Houston Astros

The Houston Astros are a professional baseball team located in HoustonTexas. The team is a member of the Western Division of Major League Baseball's American League, having moved in 2013 after spending their first 51 seasons in the National League.[1] The Astros have played their home games at Minute Maid Park since 2000.[2]

The Astros were established as the Houston Colt .45s in 1962. The current name was adopted three years later when they moved into the Astrodome, the world's first domed sports stadium. The name reflects Houston's role as the center of the U.S. Space Program.
